Spring Onion Cheese Paratha ( North Indian Recipes)
Spring onion cheese paratha is a mouthwatering Indian flatbread that features a delightful stuffing of aromatic spring onions and savory grated cheese. This popular dish is enjoyed as a satisfying breakfast or a simple main course in India, often accompanied by creamy yogurt or flavorful chutney. The filling is a delightful fusion of bursting flavors from the spices and the delightful kick of ginger-garlic paste, creating a tantalizing sensation on the palate. Generous amounts of cheese are incorporated into the filling, adding a rich and creamy element to this dish.
To prepare, the dough is skillfully rolled into a small circle, and a spoonful of the spring onion and cheese mixture is carefully placed in the center. The dough is then delicately gathered around the filling and rolled out into a larger, thinner circle using a rolling pin. The paratha is expertly cooked on a hot griddle or tawa until it reaches a beautiful golden brown hue and an irresistible crispy texture on both sides, with a touch of oil or ghee aiding the cooking process.
The piping hot paratha is then served, often accompanied by a dollop of cooling yogurt or a side of tangy chutney, making it a delightful culinary experience for all. This flavorful cheesy paratha is sure to be a hit with kids and can be savored alongside some refreshing curd and a zesty pickle for a truly enjoyable meal.
